Today, her legacy lives on through Dolly’s Dream, founded by her parents, Kate and Tick Everett. Every year, Australians come together for Do It For Dolly Day, an annual awareness campaign encouraging people to “go blue” — Dolly’s favorite color — to stand united against bullying. The 2026 event once again highlighted the urgent need to create safer environments for children both online and in schools.
Dolly’s story also inspired significant legal and social change. Her death contributed to the introduction of legislation commonly known as “Dolly’s Law,” aimed at criminalizing serious forms of cyberbullying in New South Wales.
